  Light Requirements
  Mulberry plants prefer full sunlight for optimal growth and fruiting. Ensure the plant receives at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily. While it can tolerate partial shade, insufficient light may lead to reduced fruit production and slower growth.

  Watering Needs
  Young mulberry plants require regular watering to establish strong roots. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Once mature, mulberry trees become relatively drought-tolerant. Water deeply once or twice a week depending on weather conditions, especially during dry spells. Overwatering should be avoided as it can cause root rot.

  Soil Preferences
  Mulberries are adaptable and can grow in various soil types, but they perform best in well-draining, fertile soil. A slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0–7.0) is ideal. Enrich the soil with organic compost or well-rotted manure to improve fertility and drainage. Good soil preparation ensures healthy root development and better fruit yield.
